During my time with World Vision, I was asked to write a monthly blog called “God Space”. It was there that I shared stories about the extraordinary people I met, and the things God taught me as I walked among the poorest of the poor. Their stories were usually joyous or funny, and full of faith! Their courage and audacity in the midst of famine, drought, disease and even death, humbled and inspired me.
Over and over, I would look around and ask God, “How did this Southern California grandmother get here? And why should I be so privileged?” The answer was simple. I was there to tell their stories. And even though I am now semi-retired, I still travel for World Vision as an International Ambassador Emeritus, and I continue to write about my adventures. So, I am excited and blessed to share my “God Space” articles and photos with you!
I will also share some of the wonderful stories about my dad that you will not find in “The Audacity of Faith”. The Apostle John said that if he wrote about everything Jesus did during His 3-year ministry, the books would fill the world. Dad’s ministry lasted 45 years, so I know how he felt!
